''“The Body Human” is a series of non-fiction specials filmed in documentary style produced by The Tomorrow Entertainment/ Medcom Company and telecast by CBS between 1977 and 1984, garnering a record number of 22 Emmys, including a Peabody award and 3 Directors Guild of America awards for Outstanding Documentary Achievement. They were produced and directed by its co creator Alfred R Kelman, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 1966 for “The Face of Genius.” Its imaginative exploration of the relationship between the human experience and cutting edge medicine, in association with its co creators, writer Robert E Fuisz, M.D. and executive producer Thomas W Moore, president emeritus of ABC Television, distinguished “The Body Human”. Each and every one of the 15 episodes were narrated by actor Alexander Scourby, recognized by his peers as the master of this craft, original music conducted and composed by famed jazz composer Teo Macero.
